Heritage listed cottage with award winning extension
A lovely 1890’s timber and iron worker’s cottage was renovated to allow for a new open planned rear extension. A separate studio space was also added above the original garage outbuilding. The use of simple open space, natural light and breezeways were combined with contemporary materials to create a welcoming environment in the home. The design was sympathetic in its planning and construction to the original cottage, while creating a modern, informal area for the residence that connects with the outdoors and the beautiful established rear garden.
